Just not up to it…..

There was a time when I could have done it

in fact I’ve done it several times before in various forms

however this time I just wasn’t up to it 😦

Mage has been blogging every day this month and I was going to do the same but it all came to a crashing halt towards the end of last week.  First there was the headaches and the sore itchy eyes, I began to think I had a case of this

But then the  fatigue set in as well as – well you name it I felt it lol.

Feeling really out of sorts all I craved were quiet days minus anything remotely like thinking of subjects to blog about so I went into hibernation.  Minimal screen time!  And even though (just now and again) I did take very quick sneak peaks at various places  I didn’t think about Still Waters once over that time.  That certainly doesn’t sound like a dedicated blogger does it lol

My GP is of the old fashioned sort – he sent a swab from my eye to the lab.  Nothing unusual so suggested rinsing in warm salt water which does seem to be helping.  I’ll stay away from here for the rest of the week and come back with an every other day routine unless there’s something I ‘just have to’ show or talk about 🙂

As for today – feeling lots better

 Bye for now

  2. I started out blogging every day, now it’s less and I still go nuts trying to think what to write about.
Rest and look after yourself, there’s more to life than blogging.

  3. Sorry to hear this Cathy. The best think I ever learned to sooth my eyes is: Half fill a bowl with boiling water let it cool just until you can manage to put your hands in. Soak a clean face flannel in the hot water, squeeze out as much water as you can and put the hot flannel over your eyes holding it in place until it cools. Repeat 5 or 6 times. It certainly helps me. Take care.

  4. I know exactly what you are saying.I’ve been there. That’s why I have a different name for my blog than when I started. It’s not my original blog. I may not have as many followers as the last go round, I may not post a third of the time, but it’s better for me and I have to face it – great people. Rest, visit anytime.
    Hugs,

  5. feel better soon! I find it easy to blog daily, I think it just comes naturally. It is sort of like journalling, keeping a diary, very scheduled type of activity.

  6. Not good that you are so debilitated. I usually blog daily and when I am not working, at times more often but it should be as suits you and without obligation. I think once you are established as a nice person and an interesting blogger, you can post only once a month and still your audience will be there.

  7. I have finally learned that when medical concerns or simply tired eyes take over my life, I can take a break from blogging and when I return my friends will all still be here. It seems this past year I have been absent more than I have been in attendance. Bless you heart. Take the rest you deserve.

It happens to the best of us and shouldn’t make us feel guilty about not blogging. Take care and come back when you feel like it.

Balance in every thing we do is very important Cathy.
We must look after our health or we become a liability on others.
Relax and when you feel better your friends will still be there. _/\_

  10. I used to blog every day for three years and now I don’t know how I did that. I do it only on weekdays now and it seems to work for me. But for how long? No idea….

I have to be careful with my eyes too. I use Refresh because my eyes get very dry.
