Not an easy thing to do, so well done. Do you know what the best location is for an ox tongue lily? We have recently been given one by a friend and am not sure about aspect.

I have been to Queensland many times when Mum and Dad ere living there, but I have not visited Melbroune. In Auckland, they advertise Melbourne as a shopping city. Is it true?

Hello – Lovely to “meet” you via Goodnight Gram’s blog. I see that you live in the Dandenongs – just loved visiting there when we were in Australia about 6 years ago. We went on Puffing Billy!
Hope to bump into you again.

Hello there
Thanks for dropping in and introducing yourself. Its been a while since we were on Puffing Billy but its a fun day when we do. Love to park near the big trestle bridge if I’m in the area and watch when it goes over and see all the kids with their legs hanging over the side

My pleasure, I really like your blog and knitting projects.
Oh dear..and there I just went all shy, and havent the foggiest idea about what to write about ‘me’.
Well I only really took up knitting in earnest a few months ago, after only ever having knitted the odd scarve over the years. But I have always admired the craft, and some of my fondest memories growing up is sitting very silently just watching my grandmother, or my nanny and her friends get together for some knitting/crocheting or tappisterie making 🙂
There is a little bit more about me on my About me section on my blog.
Take care,
Owl 🙂

So Cathy, I guess you have just become one of The Spikey’s, that small clan of folk known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂
Thank you… I really appreciate that as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.
My aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures since the 70′s, as well as day to day happenings on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations on life as I see it. Of course, if you have any suggestions for me, I’d love to hear from you, serious.
In return, I promise not to be overbearing with perhaps 2-3 posts a day tops. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.
Thanks again for your vote of confidence, and hope you have a great day…
