Still Waters 
We didn’t have one of these, Mom filled the kitchen sink half full, we laid on our backs on the counter, head over the sink, and she washed all six heads, one after the other. None of us liked it much.

I used to do that with my children Maggie. No none of them enjoyed lying on their backs on the draining board but needs must because I couldn’t take the screaming ‘I’ve got soap in my eyes’ which came from hair washing, head bent forward, rinsing with a jug of clear water, in the bath!

We got the same treatment as Maggie Turner. That mixer gadget would have been luxury.

I can’t remember when they first appeared in the shops EC. I know I had one in England so that dates them pre 1972. And did you know it if one of the ‘leads’ came off the tap. You got a shock one way or another lol

We are not fans of separate hot and cold. Amazingly some places still sell such things and people buy them, why?

Mother’s way was to put me on a chair at the kitchen sink and then use the head forward technique….with a flannel which I was to clutch to my eyes to avoid stinging.
