I had to pop down to Boronia this morning and stopped where there is an opening on the side of Liverpool Road to catch this photo of the clouds over the hills. Mmmmm, I thought to myself maybe ‘they’ve’ got it right for a change – it’s getting quite dark and there might be little bit of rain on its way.
Half an hour later down came a few drops so I stopped on the way home to peer through the mucky windscreen at the dark rain laden clouds over a the Dandenongs. Of course this time its from a different angle.
‘They’ did get it right because I spent the rest of the day listening to the rain bucketing down outside accompanied by thunder and lightning lol
Then as it grew chillier and I put on more clothes I remembered a sunny day two years before when I took a similar photograph of the same view
How good are your forecasters at getting it right?
Great photos of the tv towers. We can see them from here at times. Today, not so much. I was caught on the Monash Freeway in a rain storm. The traffic slowed to 80, then 60, then 50.

Nothing worse than our roads after the rain – dust + water = disaster at times. Plus dimwits who wonky slow down although obviously they did with that storm

Thanks Kay – somehow I don’t think they are that good. Just roadside snapshots

I love that you had the sunny and rainy views. The forecasters I’ve been listening to all winter have been very good. Right about now I’m hoping for a mistake on their part. We are expecting 3-8 inches of snow again overnight.

We hope for mistakes like that also – fine sunny days when they suggest it’s going to be cold and wet lol

Ours are pretty good….at the moment we have high winds and no rain due to something or other sitting over the Gulf of Mexico….

Lovely rain and cooler temperatures … you must be overjoyed! Our forecasters usually err on the side of predicting more snow than we get, it seems. I hope that is true of the storm that is coming as they are predicting 8 more inches tomorrow and I don’t know how I will lift it over the piles that already line my driveway.

Here’s hoping for your benefit they got it wrong Cynthia. Our rainy afternoon turned into torrential downpours overnight. Doing the garden good:)

Lately our forecasters have been too good. I have so been hoping they would be wrong. However now that things are warming I’m glad they are right. Hope they keep it up.

It will be a lot easier for you when it does warm up Annie – no more worries about slipping over.

Yeah we finally got rain too, and a. Nice drop it was. Loving the cooler temps as well. I was on the road trying to eager everything done so I would be home before the storm hit so even though I did think about it I didn’t stop for photos of the massive clouds that were heading our way. I’m glad you did

Wasn’t it great Angela – I could almost hear the garden give a big sigh of relief. The water tank was happy also lol
