Here’s the same view from my front door as I showed last week
Yesterday morning and again this morning I could see something different there
Something so very different to last week.
Blue skies and very little cloud 🙂
It’s funny what the prospect of a fine sunny day does to the spirit
Yesterday I went to lunch with VIEW Club friends
and came home feeling better than I had for weeks
Today I’m off to the library to return some of the books
that have kept me company during those weeks
Last year I read an article in the RM Williams Outback magazine
(http://www.outbackmag.com.au/about-the-magazine?4)
about Australian authors – female Australian authors
featuring those new authors who seemed to specialise in what is called
‘rural fiction/ rural lit’
Stories with a female main character set away from the city in a rural setting

Two I’ve just finished are by Karly Lane
North Star
Morgan’s Law
For me they were not too heavy – not too dramatic –
not too sickly romantic (or crude) – readable and believable
Here are a couple of longer in depth review you may like to read

Will be on the look out for her third novel
Bridie’s Choice
Thanks for all your supportive comments and emails
I’ll be doing some visiting soon
See you tomorrow

You like the same stuff I do, it looks like. I must keep them in mind. I don’t care for really sappy or too much skin, myself.
Lovely day there!

And the lovely day stayed that way as well Sharon.

That view looks almost English – apart from the blue skies of course 😀
I’m always on the look-out for good book recommends. At the moment I’m ploughing through 70 books that we rescued from the rubbish bin when a tenant upstairs moved out and just dumped them 😦
You’ve also reminded me I need to write about a book I read last week that I have really struggled with, so must take a pic before I return it to the library.

Wow that’s enough to keep you going for a month of Sundays! Will you read all of them or find new homes for some? Look forward to reading about the ‘not so good’ book

I am so glad that your spirits have lifted. I’m not much help for advice when too man dreary days are strung together. I would do the same as your, I think: read and knit.

Reading and knitting seems to be a worldwide tactic for calming the mind – so glad to hear you’d take to it as well

I believe I would like those books. A little romance is okay but sickly so just doesn’t appeal to me.

They are very Australian Annie – you’d spend half your time looking up unfamiliar words and terms lol
