Not a nail but those two little balls of brown wool!
If I’d remembered them – If I had put them with the rest of the garment then Mia’s present would be finished. Looking on the bright side there’s only a little more work needed (apart from making up and the neckline) and then it’s finished. And there’s plenty of time between now and Christmas to do that.
Lookee here my friends- what did get finished while we were away is this – sized for a 4yr old (24”) rather than the larger one I’d planned. Not intentional- just a case of realising (after working several rows) I’d cast on the wrong amount of stitches – so decided it was easier to carry on rather than faff about adding more😊

And here’s the next one – in the same design ….because I forgot to put the other patterns in (sigh) …..finished apart from making up and doing the neckline that is

Now all you crafty ones – what about this for a new hobby!
This came home from the library so I could find out what it was all about. There were lots of instructions – easier to read if enlarged

A little bit of fun but I’ll give it a miss – somehow it just doesn’t look as calming as conventional needle knitting…also, what do you do if you need to go to the loo in a hurry????

Pop over and see who’s been visiting Kat — Unraveled Wednesday

My Pilates teacher was into that arm knitting. It’s a bit loush for my taste. I must be a knitting snob. Your knitting, on the other hand, is enviable.

How good to know a real person actually practices something that most of us would put in the ‘you’ve got to be kidding’ class. Thanks for the compliment- I enjoy my take on the craft called knitting

Your little sweaters are just so darned cute! And I am not so sure about arm knitting either… but it looks like something my eldest daughter would like! I am going to text her about the book this morning! Ha!

The arm knitting is one of those weird and wonderful ‘what on earth’ crafts the majority of us wouldn’t even attempt – but as you’ve mentioned, there might be some to whom it could appeal. Hope your daughter enjoys it

Your patterned jumpers are lovely. I used to enjoy knitting when my girls were little, the only knitting I enjoy now is 6″ squares for making into blankets for charity. I’ve heard of finger knitting but not arm knitting. I don’t think I would like it though!

Don’t knock the charity squares😊. They play a very useful part in that area. I’ve knit what seems like ’thousands’ in fact it was all I did at one time and always feel the same satisfaction when I finish one as I do with any garment.

The small sweaters are darling and look very warm. Someone is going to be lucky to wear them. I’ve heard of arm knitting but like you I will give it a pass.

It’s definitely one craft I’m not planning on learning😊
