Watery Wednesday – Jan 2010

Mission Beach
Far North Queensland
Last year during our trip to Queensland
we spent a couple of days at Mission Beach
The unit we stayed in was right on the beach front
couldn’t have got any closer if we’d tried
The weather could have been a bit better
There was a fair wind blowing the whole time we were there
and for me the water wasn’t very inviting at all
We were only there a couple of nights
catching up with my brother who was visiting Cairns
so didn’t really do much
It is such a beautiful place (in the right weather)
and the rainforest close by (world heritage listed)
is a haven for the Cassowary
SO
If you do happen to be in Queensland please go and visit
I will be returning for a longer stay next time we are up that way
Here are a couple of links you might enjoy
