Yes, this year has been one to bury in the garden. Must go out and do some more digging. We’ve had rain and the normal concrete consistency can be broken into again and a few things moved around. Have a good week. F & Mr T
Because of the one about burying in the dirt, I have to share this.
VERY INTERESTING FACTS ! !
Dead Penguins – I never knew this!
Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica ?
Where do they go?
Wonder no more ! ! !
It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life. The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintain a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.
If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into, and buried.
The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:
scroll down
“Freeze a jolly good fellow.”
“Freeze a jolly good fellow.”
You really didn’t believe that I know anything about penguins, did you?
I loved all the quotes and the soft visuals that accompanied them. Really calming and inspiring to say the least. Thanks for this lovely link up for #WW. I’ll be going live again next week.
My favourite is:
If you have a: garden and library, you have everything you need.”
And I feel so blessed to have both. Gratitude to the guy up there. 🙂
You have yourself a wonderful time ahead. Happy holidays and i do hope the sun is once again shining on your shoulder.
Take care and stay safe and keep that pretty chin held high.
YES to them all.
I have a fridge magnet with that Cicero quote.
