There‘s still 9 weeks to go
Imagine my surprise when I discovered these on sale already.
The use by date is March 2021!
Preservatives or not I know they won’t last that long
The Golfer’ll have them eaten in no time at all!
Come live love and laugh with me
Of course. They have Christmas things out before Halloween is even over. Miss the olden days when there was just the Christmas catalogue out and people put their REAL trees up on Christmas Eve and then the chocolates come out. We have chicken and turkey so often that even that doesn’t seem to taste as good as when my Mom would make it. Those were the good old days.

If I were there they would be gone twice as fast.

Himself found them a few weeks ago – and has already replaced them twice. And he has also found Apple Pie flavoured crisps – which he hasn’t been quite brave enough to taste test. Yet. They are sitting on the kitchen bench taunting him.

I saw them a few weeks ago
This year I don’t mind it. It reminds me of the goal
If we all do as we are told we might get to have a family Christmas

I LOVE mincemeat. Here it is sold chock full of chemicals, one of which I am allergic to, so I’ve had to make my own for the last 40 years, gosh, 50 years, I lose track of time! Anyway, I made two batches this autumn, one with green tomatoes, and the other with cranberries and brandy… we favour the cranberry with brandy version, oh so good, had to taste test it of course!
9 weeks until Christmas, I hadn’t given it a thought! I am still canning produce coming out of our autumn garden, hoping winter holds off a few more weeks, here in Canada.

Oooohhhhhhhh mince pies. F has just gone into deep swoon. She is going to have to learn to make her own from scratch here in Greece. At least we can get the dried fruit.
