    1. It was an experience to be up close and personal with fairly wild animals. They were used to the visitors so weren’t that fearful of us. Good in some ways, not so good in others. As for shaking hands lol I think they were more interested in the contents of the paper bag!

    1. Hello Betty. If I can’t make it up to Queensland I think (or rather hope)revisiting those faraway places will keep the winter blues away. It’s getting cold already and we’re only one week into the season!

    1. I’m looking for more trip memories Lee. Something to keep me occupied now the weather has cooled down.
      You’re right saying the Cairns area is great. Chillagoe was the highlight of our last trip up there, even after several visits we feel there’s still more to see…..now if ‘they’d only open the border….
