Spring stopped by…..

Spring popped in to say hello on Monday The sun shone – Kiera took up residence in her hammock on the deck and I picked the first rose of the season from the garden.  ‘Julia’s Rose’

Then things started to go downhill.

Storm clouds gathering on the horizon mean’t one thing for Kiera

A change in accomodation to a nice comfy chair further over beside the blind protected from the wind and the rain.  And who said cats are daft ??

She never fails to entertain me – If she didn’t have a name already I’d call her smiley – because that just what she does.  Makes me smile  🙂

Oh and Spring said she might be back on Thursday, is going to take the weekend off and hopes to pop in again next Monday. We live in hope !

    1. I’m sure our day will come – it’s possible we won’t see much spring but fast forward to summer. 30c? mmmm sometimes we need a few 20s to warm us up first.

  1. Kiera is such a dear, she’s entertainment, company, and a soothing presence all in one. I absolutely love your deck! I envy you your spring.

Would really love to have the grounds dry up a bit now
The sunshine when it does come out is so lovely. And yes cats are very clever indeed

And who said cats are daft? They are very skillled comfort seekers.
Spring is flirting with us too. We have had starts to the day in low single digits. And wind. And sunshine. And warmth. And dampness. And…

    1. Gosh we are a load of moaners aren’t we E C. There is still snow coming down in the high country and you don’t hear them complaing – well if they are it isn’t very loudly – the sound is muffled by all that white stuff lol

    1. Being a Brown Burmese I looked high and low for a ‘pet name’ – her registered name is Maura Delight but no way would she ‘answer’ to Maura so off to the baby books I went. Off course with all the Irish blood running through my veins this one just jumped off the pages. Seemed the right name for her colouring 🙂

        1. Well my Dad was from the North as was all his family – my Ma half and half lol. Her father was from the North but her Mother from the south ( born in Tralee).

  4. Spring is doing weird things here in Adelaide too, sunny days with icy winds, or grey days with rain threatening or bucketing down. Only a couple of times have I felt any warmth in the wind. I’m wondering now what our summer is going to be like?

  6. Spring over the ditch is always “oh you want summer, well I’m not ready…I think we need to snow (not in my region though)”; so in my region we all know it’s snowing somewhere down south…a chill wind. Then we have some lovely warm and sunny stuff and I whip of the extra blankets…

    1. I thought we could manage minus one of the blankets but woke up freezing. Good job I hadn’t packed it away in the cupboard and good job I didn’t bang my toe on anything fumbling around in the dark trying to toss it on the bed (equally over both sides lol)

      1. a couple of my friends said “we’ve put our winter thermals away, and got out our summer duds” – I’ve not ditched mine yet, although some days I’ve stripped off…

    1. Thanks for that GnG – it’s a good place to do the dishes. Nearly 8.30pm now and it’s pouring out there. The noise of the heavy rain on the roof out there is quite deafening, going to be cool and wet tomorrow 6c/42f up to 14c/57f. Won’t be much gardening going on 🙂
