Well we are setled in to our ‘little house’ (the one I showed you in the last post) here at the van park in Bowen
Having the same cabin each time we are here means it’s almost like coming home lol. It isn’t a big room and now I know where things fit I have to work hard at putting them back into allocated spaces or it seems to get untidy very easily. I do so wish ‘tidy’ was my middle name 🙂
After a quick Hello to our neighbours I took a very little walk to reassure myself that Queen’s Beach – 5kms of flat sand running alongside the Coral Sea – was still there. One of my daily must do’s while we are here is to walk along those sands in one direction or the other.
We’ve been taking things quietly this past week. The Golfer has golfed and I’ve rested – reading and knitting and just enjoying the winter sun.
Mind you there was lots of excitement in town this past weekend when the Superboats (offshore powerboats) had their meet in Bowen. I’m sure getting to see them up close and personal on land at the street display Friday evening was more of a highlight for little kids than seeing them in the water. It was for me – they are enormous (and very noisy) 🙂
As the internet connection using my ipad is not that good out there I have to come into ‘town’ to the library (or have a 50c ice cream to get a connection at Maccas lol) so will only pop in now and again. When I can drag myself away from this lovely little secluded spot called Rose Bay 🙂
oh and the photos will enlarge with a click

Looks like paradise to me. I just tried going for a walk and had to come back in. It started to rain again.
Looks good to me, wish I was there (and healthy enough to enjoy walking on that beach).
Those power boats are noisy and dangerous! Are they racing? I saw once that the boat flipped end over end, Whew!
I didn’t think a 50 cent anything was to be had anymore.
Oh, my! How idyllic! It’s so great that you can do this. Keep on having a wonderful time!
looks like a great way to spend your winter
It looks truly lovely. I can do without the big and the noisy – but the rest looks blissful.
Cathy enjoy every moment and both of you are truly blessed to have health and means to enjoy life. Blessings upon you both.
I always smile when I read of winter on a glorious beach. You are so fortunate!
Perfect way to relax (except for ruining it with golf!) and a lovely cabin!
In my mind I’m walking along that beach right now.
Glorious beach and wonderful weather. Keep enjoying it all/ Blessings from Dalamory
Even though we are in summer here, I am pretty far away from any beaches that look like your photos! Your cabin looks nicely arranged for being so efficiently compact. Enjoy!
