The Blahs plus The Blues = No Blogging

Cooler weather – later sunrise and earlier sunset – extra blanket on bed – knowing the clocks and the seasons will be changing very soon and my fingers and toes will get cold!Smiley gloves

Torrential rain that caused kitchen skylight to drip copious amounts on the floor – grrr, why didn’t a certain person get up and check it last time it happened!wet smiley

Not being able to find my camera that is in the house somewhere – I used it the other day so where on earth is it.  Think of the cost of replacing it!camera smiley

Hearing from Terry’s brother again and reliving his death – it will fade with time I’m surecrying smiley

Receiving some very nasty comments on the blog from several different people – no idea why and thank goodness wordpress has ‘first comment authorisation’ so nobody but me sees them.annoyed smiley

All of that has meant I’ve been in a slump all week

In the big scheme of life these are such minor minor irritablilties – but they are ones that affect me.  I know I should toughen up and take it all in my stride but sometimes I fold and buckle and retreat.

Big talk with myself last night over this pity party so I’ll see you soon – with a smile on my face 🙂smileys galore

  1. G’day Cathy. Sorry to hear things have not been good. Love all the faces you put up, they are so cute. It’s a shame about the nasty comments. I have been lucky so far in that regard, though a few years ago someone posted something to me on Facebook which wasn’t nice. Funny thing is I hardly ever use Facebook, I just can’t be bothered. She did apologise, saying the comment came from an unknown source and not her and it was withdrawn. Hope you brighten up soon. Take care. Liz…

  2. I can never understand why, given I say some controversial things at times, I don’t get nasty comments and nor do I use word verification, yet people who never offend anyone receive nasty stuff. You are one of many, I’m afraid.

The cooler weather is energising. Now to put a feeling into some action. I’m sure the camera will turn up.

  3. Sorry that you have had to endure life’s slings and arrows, a lot, of late. -sigh, sigh, sigh- Season change, dripping rain, sadness kind of memories, etc.

And particularly sorry you got nasty comments. Grrrrrr… I do hope your little talk with yourself resulted in a firm conviction, to notttttttttttt letttttttt such nastinessssssssssss in comments, get to you!!!! I hope this nastiness, pumped you up to be just the opposite, to what they must have wanted it to. Nasty people want to bring others “Down.” Hope you are pumped up, to find a way to be “Up”!!!!!!! Just because they want you “Down.”

Yesssss! You will show them!!!!! Ding-dang-it!!!! They will not get to you!!!!!

Lots of hugs and cheering you on!!!

  4. I know what you mean. All of those “little things” can add up and overwhelm us from time to time. Important things like cameras always seem to disappear on us – I always end up finding it in a place it would “never” be. 😉

It’s funny that the cooler weather is part of what’s getting you down – it’s just the opposite for me. I love the colder months and dread the heat of summer. I’m so happy we’re having an unusually long winter (it’s snowing today!) and will hit my slump with the first humid day over 80 degrees. I’m not looking forward to the upcoming summer months at all. I hope you feeling happier soon and that all of these things will be behind you. 🙂

  5. There are some folks going around who are spammers. They say something nasty so you will go to their site to see who they are and then they have your link or you will count as a viewer. It is best to ignore them. It is a trap. Who could, for any reason, find fault with anything you have to day unless they are baiting you?

  6. Sorry you are feeling blue. I hope all the cute smiles in bright yellow that you posted will cheer you up. They certainly made me smile!
As for the nasty comments, it seems like they are inevitable if you blog. They are no reflection on you or your blog, just the way some sad person entertains him/herself and should just be ignored as such.

  7. It’s when they accumulate, isn’t it. I’m sorry and hope you cheer up soon. Don’t take notice of the nasty comments, but who are these people who take pleasure in another’s distress. I’m feeling a bit the same at the moment so I sympathise. Here it is Spring so I have the better weather to look forward to. If I was you, I’d buy myself a new hot water bottle and some bed socks plus a good book and turn your blues into reds 🙂

  8. How horrible to have those unpleasant comments…I can’t imagine what motivates people to do this.

i have a friend who is one of the admin bods on a group of expat women in France and she has said that just recently they have had a whole series of unpleasantnesses and have had to start reviewing who joins…

I’m sure the camera will turn up soon – when you stop looking for it.

  9. Why would people write nasty comments. If you don’t like the post move on I say. I’m enjoying this cooler weather. I have all doors and windows open to get lots of fresh air while I can. Not much is happening here either so blog posts are few but that’s life I suppose. I’m happy for the lulls as they give us time to rest and reflect. We are here when ever you wish to come back and visit or write xxx

  12. I am sorry to hear about your blahs and blues. At least you had a talk with yourself. That’s something positive to do. But the nasty comments . . . that is why we have a delete button!!! I have been very lucky and people have been very kind. Only one woman who was a bully, but it didn’t work because I never approved her comments. Feel better soon. Loved the yellow faces you added to your post!
