Yesterday was hot – very hot – I even turned on the airconditioning,
The Golfer and I drove down to a cinema complex close to home thinking it would be a good day to see a new release (The Book Thief). Didn’t even get our tickets – the owner was warning customers he had problems with the generator servicing that particular theatrette in the complex (In Australia and New Zealand a small and simple theater, particularly one contained within a larger venue, is a theatrette.) and he was waiting for a new generator to be delivered.
Pay and enter at your own risk and level of comfort he said – we came home and will pop back tomorrow lol

Looks like it’s going to be hot here again today 🙂
What’s it like at your house today??
Hot or Cold??
Goodness, hard to stay cool in those kind of temperatures. My nose feels like a popsicle and my fingers are so cold I’m having a hard time typing. We try to conserve on our heating here and I’m wondering whether to turn the temperature up. The temperature outside has been warmer than in days past with the arctic blast. It is 45 deg. F. right now.

G’day Cathy. I am reading The Book Thief at the moment and really enjoying it. Let us know what you think of the movie. It’s seriously hot here where I live in North Central Victoria. I have not long been home from work and had a look at the thermometer and it is sitting on 45 degrees. Take care. Liz…

David mentioned that it was 104 F in Australia yesterday. Now I read your blog. Wow. It has been cool here in Hawaii, in the 60s and 70s. No need for a/c.

Now going down to 70f/21c would be stretching a bit far – maybe a tiddly bit higher than that! We can but hope 🙂

That’s very extreme Cathy. Thanks for the interesting information about the weather. I’ll stay here then! It’s cold outside, but no risk of bush fires. I’d like to know what you think of the film. I’ve read the book but not seen anything here about a film of it, yet.

Our weather is teetering back and forth between cold and cool. We are just trying to come off winter weather. However California is experiencing dreadful fires and I think they said 99% of the state in under a burn ban.
