Window dressing #3 Todays Flowers

Tiny little daisies fill the vase this week
 mainly Erigeron (Seaside Daisy) and also some Brachyscome (break o’day)
Do you know the origin of the word daisy?
The origin of the word Daisy is the Anglo Saxon “daes eage” which literally mean “day’s eye”. It was called this because daisies open at dawn as the day just starts to begin.
A Daisy symbolizes innocence and purity. It can also symbolize new beginnings.
Did you notice Smiley with the curly tail has been joined by some new friends
The little one painted in black enamel is covered with daisies:))

  2. Lovely to see flowers on a bitterly cold day here. I like the idea of "new beginnings." Our son was born on Feb 12 — it certainly was a new beginning for us and now we are figuring out where the "new beginning" for this year will take us. Love the cat sculptures too!

Hi Cathy,Visiting from Today's Flowers #181.Rather love your Cats… the Smiley one so satisfied with everything and full of mischief, while the lovely Black one… well being covered in Daisies is definitely giving contentment. The two snuggled together in the background are very interestingly done.Well I'm here because of your Flowers… and they are delicately lovely. The Story you give about them interesting… my imagination saw their centre's being like an eye slowly opening to greet the morning Sun's warmth.And they are so perky looking about at everything… to me, they're having a great time.Have enjoyed my Visit… thanks
